Do you want to become a better diver? The GUE Primer course is a non-certification course designed to introduce divers to the GUE philosophy of diving and help divers build better foundational skills, particularly buoyancy control and propulsion techniques. All divers will find great value in this class as they learn skills such as how to turn 360 degrees in position and how to swim backwards by using specialized finning techniques, enabling divers to achieve precision body positioning while allowing them to keep their hands free for other tasks. These skills are especially useful to underwater photographers/videographers. This course is conducted over two (2) days with a minimum of 14 hours of instruction consisting of three components: classroom lectures, land drills, and four (4) in-water sessions. Completion of the Primer course will greatly increase your likelihood of success if you chose to pursue the GUE Fundamentals Diver Certification Program.
Do you want to be a master of diving skills? Would you like to enjoy the benefits of diving with Nitrox? Then the Fundamentals course, GUE’s flagship course, is for you. This program will benefit any divers who would like to take their personal diving skills to the highest level possible by developing their comfort, confidence and competence in the water. The Fundamentals course also teaches divers about the advantages of nitrox and how to use it safely. Fundamentals is a prerequisite of entry into GUE’s technical and cave diver programs, as it provides the tools and skills needed to ensure a greater likelihood of success in these programs. This class is conducted over a minimum of four (4) full days and consists of both classroom and in-water work. Course requirements include a minimum of 10 hours of academics and five (5) in-water sessions. This is the best class you will ever experience as a diver!

The GUE Drysuit Diver course is designed to help divers achieve mastery of drysuit operation. It is conducted over two (2) days with a minimum of 16 hours of instruction. This class has three components: classroom lecturers, land drills, and four (4) in-water sessions. It is designed to teach a diver about proper drysuit selection, operation, emergency protocols, and suit care. Drysuit diving increases thermal comfort, and therefore allows for longer bottom times.
